Faunaverse: Australian Wildlife in Poetry was created as a means of engaging both children and adults with Australian wildlife in a way that is both informative and fun.
The book contains 23 poems that give factual information about the animals and each poem is accompanied by a photograph and some further information. The subjects of poems were selected because they have interesting stories to be told, or they are in trouble.
There is a glossary and web links to natural history societies and other organisations should the reader require more information. In keeping with the environmental ethos contained within, the book is printed in Australia on FSC-certified paper.
The book is perfect for adults to read to kids, and has received very positive reviews including this one from Jackie French:
"The book arrived and it is brilliant!
Excuse my lack on enthusiasm before - I receive a lot of books to comment on. But this is glorious, and perfect for kids...
...Again, many thanks for the book - it's a delight.
All best wishes, Jackie"
