Following it's success at the National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne, and other venues across Australia, Pennie Jagiello's Message in a Bottle Workshop is coming to Hobart!
The workshop is hosted by artist and jewellery-maker Pennie Jagiello, well known for her signature use of recycled and repurposed man-made materials. Pennie shares her passion in utilising anthropogenic waste to raise awareness for the impacts we have on the environment.
Pennie offers Hobart makers the opportunity to join the challenge of creating a wearable neckpiece using materials not traditionally associated with jewellery-making. Over two exciting fun filled days at Wild Island, participants will follow a series of steps with unexpected twists and turns. You will be challenged to deconstruct man made debris and any preconceived ideas of how and with what jewellery is made. You will never look at your recycling bin in the same way again!
No prior jewellery making experience necessary. Places are limited - be sure to register your interest early!
